On Friday 30th March 2018, the presentation of 21 new buses with a twenty-seat capacity, which were added to the vehicle fleet of the Hellenic Police, took place at the premises of the Police Academy (101, Thrakomakedonon Avenue, Acharnes, Greece)

The €2.1 million supply of buses is part of the action “Provision of services to third-country nationals and operational reinforcement of Hellenic Police services at external borders”, funded by the Mechanism of Emergency Aid of the European Internal Security Fund/Borders and Visa.

The Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection, Nikolaos Toskas and the Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Konstantinos Tsouvalas made a presentation of the vehicles during this event, in presence of the Secretary General of Public Order Dimitris Anagnostakis, the Secretary General of Coordination of the Hellenic Ministry of the Interior Tzanetos Filippakos, the Head of Staff of the Hellenic Police Lieutenant General Mihalis Karamalakis, the Director of the EDPD Police Colonel Stylianos Kallas, as well as Supreme and Senior Officers of the Hellenic Police.
